DATES / REGISTRATION / SAFETYWELL TRAINED STAFFAt YMCA of Greater Williamson County day camp, your child?s welfare is the number one priority. The staff are trained to understand the varying needs of child growth and development. In order to provide safe, quality experiences for children, the screening, training and supervising of the staff is imperat ive. The team of directors work closely with applicants to ensure that camp has quality individuals who demonstrate a mature att itude, sound judgment and an ability to relate well to children. Upon joining our team, staff members receive comprehensive, on-site training which includes cert ificat ions in first aid, CPR, and basic water safety. We recognize that our staff makes a difference in your child?s camp experience.

LICENSINGEach of our camps are licensed by either the Texas Department of State Health Services or the Texas Department of Family & Protect ive Services.

EQUIPMENT & FACILITIESThe YMCA takes pride in the investment of our many camp sites and the camp equipment used in our programs.

To assure camper safety and a long service life, we inspect, test, cert ify, and replace on a regular basis. In addit ion, we are always adding new features to keep camp fresh and excit ing. If you see something that seems unusual, please let our staff members know.

PAYMENT AND FINANCIAL ASSISTANCEDEPOSITSWeekly Deposit (per child):

Deposits are also applied to the weekly fees for your selectedcamp locat ion.

*Weekly balance is due the Wednesday prior to camp start date.A $25 late fee will be applied start ing the Thursday prior to camp start date.

REFUNDS / TRANSFERAll paid deposits and add-on swim lessons are non-refundableand non- transferable. Once the camp session begins, the fees are non-refundable.

CAMP SWIM LESSONSAvailable at YMCA Camp Twin Lakes & YMCA Camp Round Rock. This is a revised lesson to fit the camp schedule and must be paid in full at t ime of registrat ion. At YMCA Camp Twin Lakes only, swim lesson part icipant s must check in by 7:30am at main check- in.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCEWe believe that every child and family should have the opportunity to part icipate in Y programming, so those not able to pay the full fee may be eligible for financial assistance. AGE / SCHEDULEAGE GROUPSCampers at YMCA Outdoor Camps, YMCA Camp Twin Lakes and YMCA Camp Round Rock, are placed in Units by grade level and then into Trail Groups with an individual counselor in a rat io between 1:6 and 1:15 (depending on age) for maximum fun. Our staff has customized the daily act ivit ies and age requirementswith safety and progression of skill building in mind to bettermeet camper needs with age-appropriate act ivit ies. UNITS arealso given a COLOR to foster team-unity.

DAILY SCHEDULEYMCA CAMP TWIN LAKESCamp program hours at YMCA Camp Twin Lakes are from 9am until 4:15pm. Campers will get the most out of camp by being in their unit and ready for fun between these hours. Extended care is provided at no addit ional charge between 7?9am & 4:15?6:30pm.

Extended care is provided at no addit ional charge between 7?9am & 4:30?6:30pm. Campers will enjoy weekly use of our indoor Hockey Center, indoor Swimming Pool, Climbing Tower and Archery Range.

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING PROGRAMYMCA CAMP TWIN LAKESSession 1: June 11????July 6Session 2: July 9????Aug 3Cost: $50 (?Deposit?)?-?$410 (?All 4 Weeks?)

Our Counselor In Training program is a four-week program for teens entering 10th and 11th grade during the upcoming fall semester. The program will teach leadership skills, problem solving, communicat ion skills and work ethics. The first week of the program will consist of team building act ivit ies, CPR / First Aid training, professionalism seminars, job training and other sessions about working with children in a camp environment. Weeks 2?4 will be spent at a local Y summer camp locat ion where each CIT part icipant will be paired with a seasoned counselor to gain hands-on experience using the training that they received.

All candidates for this program must complete an applicat ion as well as three reference forms and attend an interview to be accepted into the program. Once accepted, part icipants must register for the program and complete all four weeks in order to receive a cert ificate of complet ion.

Part icipants will receive instruct ions in soccer, baseball, basketball, flag football and volleyball. The goal is to have fun, build self-esteem, and teach the fundamentals of each sport.

CHEF? Ages: 5??8Part icipants will receive a unique culinary experience in which they will learn about kitchen safety, proper food handling, food preparat ion, cooking/baking techniques, presentat ion, table sett ing and fundamental kitchentool usage.

BABYSITTING? Ages: 8??15 Learn the skills needed to be a trusted, effect ive babysit ter?? ?and the leadership and job interview skills you?ll need to start your own business. Upon complet ing the course, you will be cert ified by the Red Cross for Babysit t ing, First Aid & CPR. (Must attend all days to receive cert ificat ion).

In this camp, part icipants will spend t ime working on and developing their hockey skills. Campers will also need to make sure they bring their INLINE roller skates and any hockey equipment they might have. A mouth guard is required while playing hockey.

MULTI- SPORT? Ages: 5??9Part icipants will receive instruct ions in a variety of sports. The goal is to work on the fundamentals of each sport and work on team building skills.

INTRO TO ART? 4??8 yearsYoung art ist explore art through self expression and creat ivity using a variety of art media including: paint ing, drawing, crafts and more. This art class proves an emotional, rewarding and nurturing experience for the budding art ist at all levels.

CREATION STATION8-12 years

The camp week will be divided into a variety of projects from art to woodworking. Children will have the ability to explore art through creat ive using a variety of art media including: Paint ing, drawing, crafts and more. In addit ion they will learn the basics of woodworking through the use of hand tools.

FANTASTIC SWIMTASTIC Ages 8-13

Children will work with a swim coach to develop basic swim strokes in a fun and safe environment. This program is designed to help improve children?s physical and mental well being through swimming. Must be able to swim 25 yards freestyle proficient ly and have knowledge of addit ional strokes. Children will spend 2 hrs per day working on skills and condit ioning. The remainder of camp they will have free play in the water as well as t ime for fun camp act ivit ies like arts & crafts, games and more.

CAMP OFFERINGSEach of our camps are taught by experts in the field of choice and will provide campers with a high-quality experience. Campers will also part icipate in tradit ional camp act ivit ies including games, crafts, and occasional guest speakers. All campers should pack a sack lunch each day and bring a swim suit and towel.*
