THE PACIFIC COAST LEAGUE IN CASE YOU MISSED IT u Colorado Springs had its six-game winning streak snapped in the first game of Friday’s doubleheader, but rebounded with two runs in the first inning and three runs in the fifth inning to secure a 5-1 win in game two. u With the win, the Sky Sox secured a series victory over the Memphis Redbirds, taking three of the four games by a combined 32-9 score in the three wins Overall, the Sox have scored 81 runs, which places them fiſth in the Pacific Coast League INSIDE THE GAME u The Sky Sox jumped out to an early lead for the second time in as many games, scoring a pair of runs on a two-run bloop double down the first base line by Ryan Cordell. u Memphis cut the deficit in half in the top of the fifth inning, but the Sox rallied for three more insurance runs in the bottom of the inning. u Lewis Brinson led off the innning by crushing a 1-0 offering off the batter’s eye in straightaway centerfield for his third long ball of the season (all three have come off Memphis pitching). u Eric Sogard continued his consistent offensive showcase by flaring a RBI single to score Kyle Wren.
