September, 2017

Beloved Friends of Radio Maria,

The 2017 Fall Radio Maria Mariathon will be broadcast live Sept. 25-30, 2017 from the studio in Alexandria, La. I want to personally invite you to 1. please pray for its success and 2. to prayer-fully consider making a generous contribution to the mission of Our Lady.

Although I have been involved with Radio Maria for a little more than a year now as its national priest director, I am humbled by the volunteer efforts, the faithful listeners, and the dedication of the staff at the Radio Maria studio. I can’t find the words to express how amazing this is, that Radio Maria has existed SOLELY on the efforts of volunteers and faithful listeners for 17 years! It is truly the work of Our Blessed Mother and her Son, Jesus Christ!

With that being said, the reality of continuing Our Lady’s mission depends on having the finan-cial support to do so.

These Mariathons we have twice a year (Spring and Fall) are necessary to continue the work that thousands of faithful listeners have supported for the past 17 years. At the Radio Maria studio, we do our best to offer solid Catholic teaching, liturgical celebrations, and daily Catholic devotions, but without the financial support of generous donors, like yourself, our efforts are fruitless. We need you.

Will you consider making a generous donation to Radio Maria during this Fall’s Mariathon?

Join us Sept. 25-30 on your local Radio Maria frequency and call us at 888-408-0201 to make a pledge or a one-time donation. Or go online at radiomaria.org and make your donation through our secure website.

Thank you and May God bless you!

Fall Mariathon: September 25-30

August 2, 2017Message to Mirjana

“Dear children, According to the will of the

Heavenly Father, as the mother of Him who loves you, I am here with you to help you to come to know Him and to follow Him. My Son has left you His foot-prints to make it easier for you to follow Him. Do not be afraid. Do not be uncertain, I am with you.

Do not permit yourselves to be discouraged because much prayer and sacrifice are neces-sary for those who do not pray, do not love and do not know my Son. You help, by seeing your brothers in them.

Apostles of my love, harken to my voice within you, feel my motherly love. Therefore pray, pray by doing, pray by giving, pray with love, pray in work and thoughts, in the name of my Son.

All the more love that you give, so much more of it you will also receive. Love which ema-nates from love illuminates the world. Redemption is love, and love has no end. When my Son comes to the earth anew, He will look for love in your hearts.

My children, many are the acts of love which He has done for you. I am teaching you to see them, to comprehend them and to thank Him by loving Him and always anew forgiving your neighbors. Because to love my Son means to forgive. My Son is not loved if the neighbor cannot be forgiven, if there is not an ef-

fort to comprehend the neighbor, if he is judged.

My children, of what use is your prayer if you do not love and forgive? Thank you. ”

August 25, 2017Message to Marjia

“Dear children! Today I am calling you to

be people of prayer. Pray until prayer becomes a joy for you and a meeting with the Most High. He will transform your hearts and you will become peo-ple of love and peace.

Do not forget, little children, that Satan is strong and wants to draw you away from prayer. You, do not forget that prayer is the secret key of meeting with God. That is why I am with you to lead you. Do not give up on prayer.

Thank you for having re-sponded to my call.”

New Programs

Words of ConfidenceHosted by Rafael FernandezWednesdays 1:30 pm Central/2:30 pm Eastern

For years, Rafael Fernandez has had a program on the Spanish Radio Maria; and for years his wife nagged him to do the program in English for the English Radio Maria.

So today, thanks to Rafael’s wife, Words of Confidence is now a program on English Radio Maria!

Rafael describes his program, Words of Confidence, as one “in which he will share the Word, then take a real life situation which he

has just en-countered t h r o u g h that week which could be any-thing from chang ing a tire and w a t c h i n g how his

roof was repaired, to putting down tile or coping with why his daugh-ter’s car blow up for lack of oil!

Then somehow God does the miracle of putting it all together, in the mix of laughter and sometimes

tears.Rafael is a self-proclaimed

prodigal son, who, by the grace of God, transformed into a lecturer, Eucharistic minister, lay minister and preacher for many groups and parishes, not to mention, being on the radio worldwide for 27 years!

The son of Cuban parents, he was born in New York and raised in Miami and Seville, Spain. He and his lovely wife have five children and four grandchildren.

Join Rafael’s weekly journeys on Wednesdays, at 1:30 pm Cen-tral/2:30 pm Eastern.

It’s a Ponderful LifeHosted by Deacon Adrian Marchi and Suzy H. KellyStarts Wednesday, Sept. 20 1 pm Central/2 pm Eastern

Plan your coffee breaks around Radio Maria’s new program starting Sept. 20, It’s a Ponderful Life.

Presenters Susan Kelly and Deacon Adrian Marchi promise high-spirited sharing and inspira-tional conversations on issues and current events of Catholic interest. There is so much to talk about!

Deacon Marchi grew up in a Jewish home in Argentina, but as a young teen, heard the call to learn more about Jesus Christ. He was baptized into the faith in 1990. This began a life of dedicated service on a parish level, including Bible stud-ies, retreats, workshops and spiri-tual direction, as well as radio ap-pearances.

In 2012, he was ordained a dea-

Suzy Kelly is CEO of Jo-Kell, a woman-owned business specializ-

ing in Navy shipboard and high-tech industrial automation products, sys-tems and services. Under her lead-ership, Jo-Kell has become a world class electrical distribution firm.

Suzy is connected to the com-munity in many ways, including be-ing an elected member of the Ches-apeake City Council. In addition to her community engagement, Suzy is passionate about her faith.

Along with Deacon Marchi, she co-founded Catholic Passion Min-istries and has a blog where she writes about issues of faith and cul-ture. Suzy is married and has four children and six grandchildren.

Join us on Wednesdays, begin-ning Sept. 20, at 1 pm Central/2 pm Eastern, for It’s a Ponderful Life.
