Robeson Community College wants to ensure you have a solid academic foundation and are prepared
to enter the allied health program of your choice. The Test of Essential Academic Skills (ATI
TEAS®) is designed to assess your academic skills in Reading, Math, Science, and English and
Language Usage. The ATI TEAS® has four parts that ask you to answer multiple-choice questions
covering the following areas noted.
Reading – paragraph comprehension, passage comprehension, and inferences/conclusions
(53 items, 64 minutes)
Math – whole numbers, metric conversion, fractions, decimals, algebraic equations,
percentages, and ratio/proportion (36 items, 54 minutes)
Science – science reasoning, science knowledge, biology, chemistry, anatomy, physiology,
basic physical principles, and general science (53 items, 63 minutes)
English and Language Usage – punctuation, grammar, sentence structure, contextual
words, and spelling (28 items, 28 minutes)
Robeson Community College offers FREE ATI TEAS test preparation materials at
http://guides.robeson.edu/admissions.
Students may want to consider purchasing the following items to assist with preparing for the
TEAS® Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) at http://www.atitesting.com.
The ATI TEAS® Study Manual is the only study manual authored and endorsed by the creators of
TEAS®. This is a powerful tool for TEAS® success and features a review of key concepts covering
Reading, Mathematics, Science, English and sample questions with accompanying explanations and
study/test-taking strategies.
The ATI TEAS Online Practice Assessment includes one set of 150 questions. It is designed to be
reflective of the TEAS® in both content and format. Items are proportionally representative of the
live assessment in each of the four content areas: Math, Science, Reading and English/Language
Usage.
The ATI TEAS® Study Manual and the ATI TEAS® Online Practice Assessment can be found on
the web at http://www.atitesting.com. The cost of the TEAS® Study Manual is $50.00 and the
TEAS® online Practice Assessment is $46.00. If purchased as a bundle, both resources are $115.00.
Please note RCC will accept only scores for ATI TEAS®, which is the latest version of the
assessment. Our Allied Health Admission criteria are not based on previous versions such as TEAS
3.0 or TEAS 4 and, therefore, will not be accepted.
Please come by and speak with a specialist in the Admissions Office in Bldg. 13, if you have
questions regarding ATI TEAS®. You may call our office at (910) 272-3342 and speak with a staff
member.
RCC 2017-2018 Testing Schedule for ATI TEAS®
Before scheduling for the ATI TEAS students must first:
1. Complete the Allied Health Checklist and follow the application process to ensure you meet
the eligibility guidelines to take ATI TEAS®. These requirements are detailed as Items 1- 3
on the Allied Health Program Checklist. All supporting documents must be attached.
2. Create a “TEAS® Student Account” at www.atitesting.com prior to scheduling your test date.
You may purchase study and practice materials from this site as well.
3. Note and remember the TEAS® username and password created when you set up your student
account with ATI. This username and password will be required in order to take the TEAS
online with Robeson Community College.
4. Schedule a testing date with the Admissions Office. Please adhere to the application
deadlines. This is your responsibility, not the Admissions Office.
Please note, ATI TEAS® scores from other institutions are accepted only, if test
results include all parts (Math, Reading, Science, and English) and are an official
copy.
Official scores mailed from another institution will be accepted. Faxed copies are not
accepted. HOBET/Net scores are no longer accepted.
5. Additional Reminders:
TEAS scores (Versions 3 and 4) do not meet the admission criteria for RCC.
Students are allowed to test twice a year with a minimum of 6 months between each
administration of the TEAS V® or ATI TEAS.
TEST Scores are valid for five years from the proposed date of entry into the Allied
Health program, unless otherwise noted.
ATI TEAS Testing Schedule and Registration Procedures
1. Be prepared to pay the $58.00, a non-refundable fee online to ATI with your credit or debit card for
the TEAS immediately before the TEAS exam begins on the day you test. If you are not able to pay
