Asphotography has evolved into the digital realm, Ian’s work has also evolved to capture a broader view of the “Urban Landscape.”

16. SHIRLEY CLEMENT2 Carrothers Ave. N6H 1J5 519 [email protected] returns to the Tour with her vibrantly coloured pillows that have become treasured accents in many London homes. She weaves these from her attic full of wool, alpaca, silk & llama & has many new colours from which to choose. Shirley also has gift certificates for special wedding presents.

18. BERNADETTE PRATT419 Princess Ave. N6B 2B2 519 [email protected]: thehomesickpotterBernadette produces both functional and sculptural wares. Although the forms she débuts in the Tour are new, they echo her long-established theme of integrating conflicting tensions of calm and chaos. The forms evoke the broad sweeps of wave action, and like waves they are ephemeral, destructive, but also soothing.

19. JERRY VRABEC20 Swinyard St. N5W 4B6 519 [email protected] Vrabec is a self-described Renaissance man: part teacher, part technician, part inventor, & all artist. Educated in Prague, he creates unique metal gates, balconies & furniture as well as fine silver & gold objects. He has shown in galleries in Prague, Vienna, Berlin & London, Ont.

Currently he is working out of the London Clay Art Centre, & serves as Vice President for FUSION: The Ontario Clay & Glass Association. He is a self taught artist who continues to question the way we judge success. His body of work includes several mediums, including film, silkscreen and paint. Most recognized are his vibrantly coloured large canvas pieces.24. RICHARD STURGEON - METAL IN FUSION630 1/2 Lorne Ave - the back lot N6B 3J4519 [email protected]'s miniature to large scale abstract & landscape inspired sculptures explore motion, balance & space. In addition to completed sculpture & hangings in mixed metals, stone & wood, the studio & attached gallery will showcase many works-in-progress. Artist discussions on the process will run throughout the weekend.

His focus is portrai-ture; he repeats some images up to 10 times. Mark's studio, located in the historic red brick "Military Stores" building behind Wolseley Barracks, is the perfect venue

DOUG MAGRATH875 Waterloo St. N6A 3W7 519 432-0557A full-time woodturner since 1997, Doug makes functional bowls & platters from local hardwoods, as well as elegant, turned decorative objects from exotic hardwoods & burls both local & imported. This year, he will feature new birch-burl pieces, pepper mills, & a series of square pieces.

She uses these materials together to create new sculptural reliefs on canvas.

After applying up to 70 thick layers of paint onto a surface, the real creation begins. As he chips away & carves into the dry paint, Bijan enjoys the interplay of chance & control, & unpredictability of the results.
