TRAINING CAMP NOTES Camp roster • The Senators 2016-17 camp roster includes 52 players: Five goaltenders, 17 defencemen and 30 forwards. • Sixteen (16) players participated in the 2016 rookie camp and tournament in Ottawa and London, Ont. The list of

camp invitees is built primarily around the Senators’ draft. Twenty-four (24) players were selected by Ottawa in NHL drafts, 11 players were signed as free agents, 11 players were obtained in trades, four players are signed to American Hockey League two-way contracts, one player is on a professional tryout and one player is on an amateur tryout. While forward Chris Kelly was originally selected by Ottawa in the 1999 NHL Draft, he is considered among the team’s 11 free agent acquisitions.

• The Senators 2015-16 season training camp roster included 61 players: five goaltenders, 21 defencemen and 35 forwards. The list of invitees was built primarily around the Senators’ draft. Thirty (30) players were selected by Ottawa in NHL drafts, 10 players were signed as free agents, 10 players were obtained in trades, nine players were signed to American Hockey League two-way contracts, one player was signed to an ECHL contract and one player was on an amateur tryout.

Rookie tournament • The Senators participated in their 16th rookie camp and tournament from Sept. 16 to 18. This year’s tournament was

held in London, Ont., with the Montreal Canadiens, Pittsburgh Penguins and Toronto Maple Leafs also participating. • The Senators finished second to Toronto (3-0-0) with a 2-0-1 record; a 2-1 overtime loss to Toronto in the

GOALTENDERS 41 – CRAIG ANDERSON, Goaltender – Catches: Left – Size: 6-2, 184 lbs. – Born: May 21, 1981 (Park Ridge, Ill.) 2015-16 Team: Ottawa (NHL) – Draft: 2001 - Chicago’s third-round pick (73rd overall) – Acquired: Traded from Colorado in exchange for Brian Elliott on 2/18/11 2015-16: Earned the 30th shutout of his NHL career (25 saves) on Nov. 19 vs. Columbus (3-0 win). Recorded back-to-back shutout victories for the second time in his career and for the first time as a Senator on Nov. 21 vs. Philadelphia (4-0 win) … Was the Molson Cup winner for the month of November … Established a new career high when he made 25 saves in one period (while facing a new high of 27 shots in one period) on Dec. 12 at Montreal (3-1 loss) … Registered the 200th victory of his NHL career on Jan. 16 at Los Angeles (5-3 win) … Was recognized as the NHL’s Third Star of the Week on Feb. 22 after posting a record of 3-0-0 with a 1.58 goals-against average and .951 save percentage … Set a new franchise record for saves in one season, surpassing his own record of 1,752 (2011-12) with 1,754 saves in 2015-16.

1 – SCOTT GREENHAM, Goaltender – Catches: Left – Size: 6-2, 190 lbs. – Born: April 24, 1987 (Ottawa) 2015-16 Teams: Evansville (ECHL), Binghamton (AHL) – Acquired: Is signed to an American Hockey League contract 2015-16: Spent the majority of the season with Evansville (ECHL) where he established a new ECHL-career high with 11 victories which was tied for the team lead … Was recalled to Binghamton (AHL) on two occasions and earned three wins over six contests including one shutout victory in which he made 33 saves in what was ultimately a first star performance in the B-Sens’ 4-0 win at Rochester on Jan. 15.
