Phenomenal virtuoso JeffreyBiegel debuts with the ESO

in the blockbuster of all pianoconcertos, the Third Concertoof Rachmaninoff. The 1996 filmShine was built around thestruggles of pianist DavidHelfgott with the mental andpianist challenges posed by thisepic concerto. Prokofiev’sconcert suite drawn from his1934 score for the Soviet film Lt. Kije is a long-timefavorite, and the program concludes with anotherconcert suite, prepared by composer John Williamsfrom his blockbuster Star Wars.
