Porsche India welcomes the arrival of the all-new Cayenne, boasting enhanced performance,a sharpened design and more exciting features as standard. The new Cayenne extends the modelsevolving, twelve-year success story as it continues to underline its position as a true sports car amongstSUVs.The new generation Cayenne is available in four versions in the country: Cayenne Diesel, Cayenne SDiesel, Cayenne S and the Cayenne Turbo.Since its inception the Cayenne has come to realise and define an ambitious dream, a luxury SUV withsports car credentials. With typical Porsche DNA the new Cayenne delivers a pioneering benchmarkwhether being driven through the city, in challenging off-road conditions or in the ultimate test, on therace track. With the new Cayenne, Porsche continues its ethos of delivering increased power withoutcompromising efficiency. Front body, front wings, bonnet and air blades arealso newly shaped.At first glance, the new Cayenne is a Porsche through and through with its bi-xenon headlights and four-pointLED daytime running lights. The new layout of the models rear lights creates a three-dimensionaleffect with the brake lights designed in four elements. The license plate, boot handle and lights are nowintegrated more elegantly into the boot lid. In addition to other modifications, the newly developedexhaust tailpipes are now incorporated in the lower rear section, while an automatically activating bootlid is fitted as standard.In the interior, much of the layout has been shaped around the driver, with a new multifunction sportsteering wheel which can also be found in the 918 Spyder featuring shift paddles as standard. Therear seating system is even more comfortable, with optional seat ventilation now available for the firsttime. The new Cayenne also boasts of standard features like air suspension with Porsche ActiveSuspension Management, Porsche Entry and Drive, four-zone auto climate control and panoramasunroof. Customers can additionally specify their new Cayenne with options like soft-close doors,surround camera as well as the Sport Chrono package which now incorporates Performance Startfunction.Power and torque have been boosted while improving fuel economy in line with Porsches commitmentto maximum output from minimum input. All new Cayenne models consume significantly less fuel, withthe help of new features including a coasting function, a further advanced auto stop-start function plus(except Diesel) and optimised thermal management, with active cooling air flaps now being used for thefirst time in the Cayenne. Located behind the middle air inlet, they are opened or closed according to thespecific driving situation and cooling needs.The diesel versions of the new Cayenne combine sportiness with fuel efficiency. The three-litre V6engine in the Cayenne Diesel produces 245 hp from 3,800 to 4,400 rpm and has a fuel consumption of7.7 l/100 km. In interplay with its torque of 550 Newton metres from 1,750 to 2,750 rpm, the car canaccelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.6 seconds (7.5 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package),and has a top speed of 218 km/h. The 4.2-litre V8 engine of the Cayenne S Diesel produces 385 hp at3,750 rpm and a torque of 850 Newton metres from 2,000 to 2,750 rpm. From a standstill, it reaches100 km/h in only 5.4 seconds (5.3 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package). Its top speed is252 km/h with fuel consumption of 8.0 l/100 km.The all-new 3.6-litre V6 bi-turbo engine of the Cayenne S which has been fully developed by Porschereturns fuel consumption between 9.5 and 9.8 l/100 km. This represents one litre less than with theprevious V8 engine. The bi-turbo V6 develops a maximum power of 420 hp at 6,000 rpm a gain of 20hp. The car's torque of 550 Newton metres (+50 Newton metres) is available from 1,350 to 4,500 rpm.The power density per litre of displacement is now 117 hp, a gain of almost 40 percent. With itsstandard eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission, the Cayenne S accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in just5.5 seconds (5.4 seconds with the optional Sport Chrono package) 0.4 seconds faster than the 2. previous Cayenne S. The vehicle's top speed is 259 km/h.Leading the model field is the compelling Cayenne Turbo, powered by a 4.8-litre bi-turbo V8 engine thatproduces 520 hp at 6,000 rpm and 750 Newton metres of torque from 2,250 to 4,000 rpm. This lets theCayenne Turbo accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in a mere 4.5 seconds (4.4 seconds with the optionalSport Chrono package). Its top speed is 279 km/h.
