Welcome to our 43rd Annual

Ice Show, “SPLASH!”It’s been another great season. Our basic skills program skat-ers have all had great strides and success with our badge test sessions. Our individual competitive skaters all had success at competitions in East Grand Forks, Grand Forks, Moorhead and Duluth, as well as reached many goals with our U.S. Figure Skating Test Sessions. Our synchronized skating teams also had a great season with all teams, Comets, Twinklers, Sparklers, Stars and Metallites placing among the top at their respective competitions in East Grand Forks, Minneapolis, Fond du Lac and Moorhead.A huge thank you to our volunteers; this program would not be possible without the extra help from each of you. To the Northern Lights Figure Skating Club, your hard work and energy into this program does not go unnoticed. A huge thank you to the board of directors. Words cannot describe how thankful I am to work with each of you. Thank you to the East Grand Forks Parks and Recreation and the City of East Grand Forks for the continuation of this wonderful program and sport. To our parents and skaters, your dedication and support of this program keeps our energy alive. Thank you for all that you do for each of us individually, groups and teams. Last but not least, our coaches. None of this would be possible without the focus, heart and dedication each of you possess. You are all an extremely important part of this program and I thank you for all you do! Onto the skating. Our skaters and coaches have worked hard to create a wonderful show. The Annual Ice Show takes a great deal of planning and orga-nization. We salute the Northern Lights Figure Skating Club of East Grand Forks, all of the volunteers and the parents who put in countless hours and ultimately make this show possible. to the 43rd Annual Ice Show ~ SPLASH!

The purpose of the Northern Lights Figure Skating Club is to encourage the instruction, practice, and advancement of stu-dent members in the disciplines of figure skating. The skaters are ready to show you all they have learned this year! From the youngest just learning to stand up on the ice, to the oldest who have achieved great milestones in the sport, be ready to see all they have accomplished this year as they preform for you, SPLASH!

Throughout the season the skaters are encouraged to cultivate and develop a spirit of mutual respect and support among ice skaters, both competitive and recreational, of all ages and abilities. They practice, perform and compete though out the season and have developed artistry not only in skating but life long skills that they will carry into adulthood.

With the support of parents, coaches and Parks and Recreation, these skaters have put forth the effort and heart required to make this show simply amazing! I hope you enjoy watching the culmination of a season of success!
