INTRODUCTIONThe 100 Black Men of DeKalb opened its Leadership Academy in 1992 to provide Mentoring, Education, Health and Wellness, and Economic Empowerment training to students enrolled in the program. The Leadership Academy is sponsored by the DeKalb County Chapter of 100 Black Men of America, Inc., with the support of local businesses, public agencies and educational institutions. The Leadership Academy program is designed to address the crisis in which minority students find themselves in today.

LEADERSHIP ACADEMY OVERVIEWThe Leadership Academy focuses on providing a series of structured educational activities that allow minority students to learn and experience new survival tech-niques, new environments and new growth opportunities. The program is designed to nurture achievement, provide support, and enhance self-esteem while teaching lifelong living and learning skills.

PROVEN TRACK RECORDOver the past 23 years, more than 90% of the students who have graduated from the Leadership Academy program have matriculated to Colleges, Universities, and Trade Schools.
