As we begin the new school year, I am proud to share in the progress we have made and would like to thank our students, faculty, organizational partners, and advisory board for their continued trust and support. We are continuing to grow and follow our commitment to providing degrees that are globally recognized and transferable. Our application for candidacy for accreditation by The International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) and our upcoming adhesion to EduQua are enhancing our reputation as an innovative, engaged and quality driven university.

The city of Basel is also experiencing rapid growth with transformations occurring in every sector of business and I am excited to see how we are responding to the needs of our city. We are now offering additional MBA specializations in Pharmaceutical Management, Sustainability Management and Financial Analysis, closing a critical skills gap in our community, highlighting a future-oriented, and competitive mindset.

GOVERNING COUNCIL OF THE STATE OF BASEL The Basel School of Business is a private, independent business school, approved in May, 2012 by the Governing Council of the state of Basel to offer university-level undergraduate and graduate level degrees and qualifications in Business.

This approval by the State of Basel recognizes that The Basel School of Business is in full compliance with the legal and statutory requirements of both the state and federal laws of Switzerland.

Bachelor of Business Administration Top-Up Degree Completion ProgramThe BBA Top-Up Program is the ideal way for students who have completed a national diploma to continue their education and earn a Bachelors Degree. PREPARE FOR YOUR FUTUREThe Basel MBA teaches you fundamental business concepts and inspires the creativity and talent within you, in order to make you a valuable leader in your organization. DEVELOP YOUR EXPERTISEThe personalized structure of The Basel MBA allows you to select the courses that you need for your professional development. Up to 50% of the program can be tailored to your academic strengths and career goals. Begin with a 6-course comprehensive core, giving you a solid foundation in each of the functional areas of business. In the second phase, you will select a 4-course specialization and gain expertise in your field by exploring real-world developments in your area of study. The final

ADVANCE YOUR CAREERThe full-time program is the most efficient way to earn your Basel MBA, and can be completed in as little as 1 academic year. It is designed to give you the business knowledge and leadership skills you need to get back into the workforce quickly and accelerate your career.

BALANCE YOUR LIFEThe Basel School of Business offers an evening MBA option for working professionals. Courses offered Mondays through Thursdays, from 18:00 until 21:00. The typical evening MBA student will complete the MBA in 2 years by taking 2 courses per term, 3 terms per year. You also have the flexibility to adjust your course load as personal and professional commitments change, completing your degree part-time in up to 7 years.

To accommodate parents with school-aged children, the MBA program schedule follows the Basel Education Department’s calendar, with no classes scheduled during holiday periods.

INTERNSHIPStudents can apply what they have learned, gain valuable work experience and develop transferable business skills. Professional seminars facilitate the linkage between practical application and academic theory.

MASTER’S PROJECTStudents can work with their research advisor to explore a business case from their firm. This 2-course sequence includes topics on research design, data analysis and presentation of findings.

FREE ELECTIVESMBA students also have the option of selecting 2 free electives. These courses give them the chance to explore a new area of interest. They may even complete an independent study course with a BSB Professor.

The GCAS is a graduate level program that serves the continuing education needs of working professionals. Offering intensive short courses to develop your skills in a functional area of business or specialize in your professional area of interest.

TRANSFERABLE CREDITS The 20 ECTS / 12 US Credit Certificate may be completed in as little as 6 months study.

Should you decide to further your education, all credits are directly transferable to the MBA program.

Graduate Certificate of Advanced StudiesThe GCAS Program consists of four graduate courses. You may choose courses from an area of specialization or create your own customized set of courses based on your professional needs, in collaboration with your advisor.

Graduate Certificate students may also earn credits toward their certificates by participating in graduate excursion courses.

BSB Excursions take you to exciting educational opportunities across Europe. 2015 excursions have included; learning about the future of work at the 15th Rencontres Économiques in Provence, discovering innovation for a sustainable future at Expo Milano. and learning how human capital and technology work together at the Peugeot Assembly Plant in Mulhouse, France.
