The hottest team in the GPAC hosts the Tigers on Saturday in Sioux City. Morningside brings a 9-game win streak into the contest and sits a half a game out of first place in the GPAC. They defeated Dordt on Wednesday evening.
Steve O’Neill is the team’s leading scorer with 17.8 points per game and has dished out a team-high 95 assists. He ranks 3rd in the NAIA in free throw percentage (89%) and has made a team-high 54 3-point baskets. Kyle Nikkel adds 12. 7 points and a team-high 5.4 rebounds per game.
Collectively, the Mustangs average 85.3 points while allowing 74.3 per game. For Doane on Saturday, hitting the offensive boards could be key as the Mustangs have allowed 277 on the year, 11.1 per game.
