Streamlined Xerox press release process on an on-going basis, designed simplified formats; revamped and consolidated departmental filing systems, press release databases, and label making process. Results: Reduced number of steps needed to provide answers and solutions; documented, refined and simplified daily processes to improve group’s turn-around time on tasks and requests.

Reconstructed Xerox media and consultant databases from scratch, reorganizing them to be more logical and user-friendly. Reviewed the media and consultants in question, adding and eliminating firms as necessary to focus on target audiences. Pinpointed key publications and essential contacts within them. Collaborated with product teams to assess and expedite the processing of technical data requests. Results: Increased number of documented e-mail addresses from 20% to 98% and fax numbers from 84% to 94%. Overhauled data structures and reporting templates to streamline the time-critical distribution processes for press materials.

Designed, wrote and disseminated public relations procedures manual to field reps. Developed, refined and maintained documentation for office procedures in several positions.

Progressed from Word Processing Technician to Administrative Assistant at RIT/NTID, supporting up to 13 faculty. In addition to standard duties, screened, hired, supervised, and evaluated student assistants. Developed curriculum for student assistants in Communication Instruction Department 1 and trained them in computer and office skills during weekly meetings.
