strives to develop the capacities of Alaska Native people and their
communities to meet the social, economic and educational challenges
of the future, while fostering positive relationships among all segments
of our society.

Leadership Development
Helping to develop the next generation of Alaska Native leadership,
and ensuring that they are connected to their culture and each other.
Alaska Native Policy Center
Connecting people and ideas producing knowledge that can be used
to understand and improve the lives of Alaska Natives and all
Alaskans.
Community Engagement
Developing and implementing initiatives that promote a healthy,
thriving, and connected Native community.

10 weeks: two with FAI, eight with host
Paid internship ($15/hour)
Leadership level work

Native knowledge sharing

SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Must be enrolled in a higher education
institution.
Preference given to Juniors, Seniors,
Graduate students, and recent college
graduates.
Preference given to students in good
academic standing.
Preference given to Alaska Natives.
