Friends, Date: Feb 13, 2011 With the overwhelming success of our golf benefit in its first two years, and our expanded Firefighter Survivor’s Day last year, I am pleased to announce the 2011 Firefighter Survivor’s events. The 2ND Annual South Eastern Pennsylvania Fallen Firefighters Survivors Week Southeastern Pennsylvania will be hosting its 4 TH Annual Fallen Firefighters Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, May 6 TH 2011 , at the John F. Byrne Golf Course in Philadelphia, PA. Registration begins at 8:30 am. All golfers will receive participant welcome gifts such as, a sleeve of golf balls, and various other golf-related items with lunch at the turn. You will be asked to submit your shirt size with your registration. Also indicate your preferred playing partners. All golfers will also receive a free FIREFIGHTER SURVIVORS BENEFIT CONCERT ticket. A dinner buffet, prizes and awards will follow at Maggie’s Waterfront Café’ (9242 N. Delaware Ave.). The outing will use a shotgun start @ 10:00 am with a best ball format. Participating golfers should arrive at the course any time after 8:30 and be ready to play no later than 9:45 am. It is anticipated that all golfers will have completed their round between 3:30 and 4:000 PM. In addition, prizes will be awarded for the longest drive, straightest drive, closest to the pin, etc. We once again plan to have a new automobile for a “Hole-in-one”, and we fully anticipate a motorcycle for another “Hole-in-one” (Pro golfers are not eligible). As well, a great array of golf paraphernalia will be awarded for other selected opportunities. Proceeds benefit the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. United States Congress created the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation to lead a nationwide effort to remember America’s fallen firefighters. Since 1992, the tax-exempt, nonprofit Foundation has developed and expanded programs to honor our fallen fire heroes and assist their families and co- workers. The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit organization, (TAX ID# 52- 1832634), located in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The Foundation receives funding through private donations from caring individuals, organizations, corporations, and foundations.

These annual events are held in honor of fallen firefighters and in support of the families whose loved ones paid the ultimate price. Proceeds from this event will assist these firefighters’ families. Last year’s events were a huge success.

Local 22 IAFF & the Foundation cordially invites you to share in the golfing and/or concert experience, and support a great and meaningful causes.

If your business would like to support either of the events either financially, or with goods and/or services, our sponsorships begin at just $100.00 In addition, each business sponsor’s name will be advertised very prominently in the event program, distributed to all attendees. Further recognition for sponsorship will be announced during the awarding of prizes and ceremony at each event.
