Selected Examples

NASA HQ – Headquarters Information Technology Support Services (HITSS)

Customer: NASA HQ

Description: a.i. solutions provides IT services including planning, developing, implementing, integrating, and evaluating NASA and federal IT systems and activities for all agency mission directorates and support offices at NASA Headquarters. We provide IT security management, information assurance and ensure FISMA compliance.

Visual Statistics Information Online (VISION)—MDA/QS

Customer: Missile Defense Agency Quality, Safety, and Mission Assurance Directorate (MDA/QS)

Description: a.i. solutions developed the (Visual Statistics Information Online) VISION system, a secure web application used to gather and display safety and quality metrics for all MDA programs. VISION allows MDA/QS to easily access quantitative and historical metric data and perform automated metrics evaluation, which aids in determining risks across MDA and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Programs.

Engineering Review Board Information System (ERBIS)—KSC Launch Services Program

Customer: NASA Kennedy Space Center (KSC)

Description: a.i. solutions developed the Engineering Review Board Information System (ERBIS)—a secure, web application that stores, processes and retrieves information/data generated by the NASA KSC’s ELV Engineering Review Process (ERP). This web-based system is available to all approved personnel, from any location, and allows users to quickly and easily submit and retrieve data and information relevant to the ERP. ERBIS enables the creation of metrics that facilitate trending and tracking of issues used in risk evaluation. ERBIS is searchable by launch vehicle, mission, part number, system or vendor. ERBIS provides anefficient way for NASA to enforce the ERP and serves as the official knowledgebase for all ELV vehicle analysis, vehicle certification and lessons learned.

Collision Assessment and Risk Analysis – NASA Conjunction Assessment System (CAS)

Customer: NASA GSFC

Description: a.i. solutions built an automated FreeFlyer-based Conjunction Assessment System (CAS) that provides daily collision risk analysis, assessment and operations for nearly 100 DoD, NASA, NOAA and commercial satellite programs spanning low earth orbit to geosynchronous. Operational collision risk assessment consists of receiving daily close approach predictions from the Air Force, quantifying the collision risk, and developing risk mitigation strategies as necessary, such as planning avoidance maneuvers to avoid debris and other spacecraft.

Global Positioning System (GPS) Launch and Early Orbit, Anomaly Resolution, and Disposal Operations (LADO) Customer: USAF

Description: a.i. solutions designed and developed the FreeFlyer-based Mission Planning (MP) element for the new GPS LADO ground system which replaced the legacy mainframe GPS Command-and-Control System (CCS). The new system allows integrated telemetry, command and control, mission planning and mission operations support for the entire GPS constellation of satellites, from spacecraft separation through end of life disposal, to be consolidated under the authority of the Air Force 2nd Space Operations Squadron (2SOPS) at Schriever Air Force Base. The FreeFlyer subsystem provides satellite orbit and attitude determination, orbit and attitude maneuver planning, maneuver command generation, planning products generation, and advanced database capabilities, supporting all current GPS satellites and an unlimited number of future GPS satellites.

Landsat Data Continuity Mission (LDCM)

Customer: NASA/USGS
