    TELTRONICS

  • For over 30 years, Teltronics has been designing, developing, manufacturing, and marketing electronic hardware and application software products for the telecommunication industry. The Companys products and services fall into four main categories: Digital Communications Teltronics has switching systems that accommodate a whole range of users from small companies to large enterprise networks and feature rich Call center systems that can scale to meet your needs. Teltronics switching solutions are so reliable and robust that many 911 systems are based on them in conjunction with their Telident 911 software. Intelligent Systems Management - A complete product line which includes IRISnGEN Intelli.m@n and Site Event Buffer (SEB), for the remote monitoring of telecommunications and data networks for large corporations and Service Providers. Electronic Manufacturing Division - a state of the art production facility and an experienced manufacturing work force that combine to produce sophisticated component or system level quality products for small to medium sized companies. Interactive Solutions, Inc. - a majority owned subsidiary of Teltronics that has developed a line of voice-activated, mobile computers. The "MENTIS System", is key in driving a very large new market for portable information and learning applications.

Teltronics has built communications systems and networks for a wide variety of customers. Our systems have been installed in some of the most demanding environments. For Gazprom, the largest natural gas provider in the world, we built a communications system of over 180 switches across Russia. Some of the systems had to be installed 20 to 30 underground to get beneath the permafrost in Siberia.

The FAA selected the 20-20 switch for the air traffic control voice communications system which requires 99.999% availability, allowing no more than 3 seconds of downtime per year.

Rearrange this agenda to follow the topics in the order you will discuss them

The 20-20 IXP is engineered to streamline your business communications.

Today well be discussing the following features of the switch

The 20-20 IXP uses a universal telephony shelf design. The system shown here has space for 16 cards with a total of 256 ports available in the shelf.

Some systems require you to have a shelf for each type of card. With the 20-20 any card fits in any shelf -whether its a line card, trunk card or common service unit (such as a modem).

The 20-20 IXP gives you flexibility in your facilities planning. If you decide to purchase more than one shelf, they can be located up to 100 meters (300 feet) apart.

A big Teltronics advantage is that we have redundancy available on all systems, regardless of size. Many manufacturers only offer redundancy on large systems. You can have 100% redundant common control and power supplies, to ensure your business communications are always up.

The 20-20 IXP is modular system, you can start with as few as 256 ports and grow up to 10,000 ports. Expanding is easy and cost-effective. Our hardware architecture grows with you. Many systems have to be re-engineered to add memory or processor power, but Teltronics anticipated system expansion and designed the 20-20 to accommodate growth

While some switches require cumbersome traffic planning to decrease port blockage, the 20-20 IXP is designed to be non-blocking, allowing all ports to be used at the same time.

One of the important advantages of the 20-20 IXP is the modular software architecture. Think of our features as building blocks that can easily be stacked on top of each other.

When you purchase this switch, all of our features are already in the software. The features are software key controlled. So if you want to add another feature to your system, enabling it is simple and easy. With many competitive systems, you need to reload the complete software package and then test for interworking.

With the 20-20 IXP, all of the features are fully tested and also tested for internetworking.

The 20-20 IXP has 256 distinct classes of service available. You define the classes of service by selecting elements from the dial control, feature and routing classes. For example, you might want your executive users to have a special calling profile. You would use the class of service to define this profile.

Within each of the classes there are 64 elements from which to choose. Just to give you an example of some of the elements -- shown on the screen are selected elements from the dial control class (authorization required, normal dialing, no origination)

Feature class (call waiting, paging, call holding)

and routing class (internal only, all outgoing routes, no outgoing)

One of the greatest strengths of the 20-20 IXP is its ability to interface with various types of communications systems and methods of transmission. You can connect to other 20-20 switches, local central offices, toll central offices and international central offices. It can also interface with traditional copper cable, fiber optic cable, trunking radio and microwave radio.

The 20-20 IXP provides a full range of signaling capabilities which meet North American standard, world standard and non-world standard protocols.

Non-standard protocols are available for China, Czech Republic, Poland and Russia.

Over 20,000 systems are installed in more than 70 countries.

Here is quick view of some of the countries where 20-20 systems have been installed.

The 20-20 IXP has a comprehensive set of operations, administration and management toolsSystem Traffic Statistics - Our system software collects statistics on the operation of our switch and stores them in traffic files. Some of the statistics collected include peg counts (for counting events), usage counts, busy hour information. Maintenance History - Our maintenance history software records keyboard entries from the system administration terminals. You can use the information in the history to track configuration errors and system usage by unauthorized users. Tech support can even dial in to the system remotely and back out any configuration Alarms - Our alarm reporting software reports significant system and hardware failures, as well as general information about the system operation. Remote Configuration - The 20-20 IXP can be remotely configured and monitored, giving you flexibility.Flexible call detail recording the switch stores CDR records on its internal disc drive. You have the flexibility of outputting the records in real-time on up to four different interfaces (serial, or LAN). Each CDR can contain up to 29 different fields of information, including dialed number, ANI, trunk group, etc.We also have over 5000 help screens to help you in maintaining your system.

The 20-20 IXP gives you several options for holding teleconferences. The progressive conference feature allows you to sequentially connect callers into a conference call by adding callers to an existing call.

Our Meet-me conference provides a conference connection for any group of callers who dial the same meet-me access code. You can configure the maximum size allowed for any Meet-me conference. An additional feature enables you to set a conference controller. When the first caller dials into the conference, the conference controller is automatically called. When the conference call is finished, the call ends when the controller hangs up.

A Pre-set conference has a pre-arranged set of members. When one of the members dials an access code, the system automatically dials the other members of the conference call.

A real Teltronics advantage is our 256 conference ports available on each shelf. This allows you to hold multiple conference calls at one time.

Our Software Defined Networking is a proprietary version of PRI which links 20-20 switches with one another and enables multiple switches to function as a single, unified system.

Software Defined Networking software provides seamless operation for a wide range of services, including: A centralized network attendant directory where changes are immediately updated in the directoryUniform numbering plan andPBX features such as Camp-on, external call forward and extension call back.

Calling name and number can be displayed, even across the network

When you have a multi-site network, operators have access to the directory on any switch

Designed specifically to work with 20-20 systems, the ClearCom phones were developed to take advantage of the latest technology advancements in digital design. They provide increased line capacity, attractive styling, an adjustable base and wall mounting. The phone is ergonomically designed, making long telephone conversations comfortable. The ClearCom phones feature:Programmable keys with one-touch access to featuresInteractive displays to prompt users through feature operations High quality speakerphoneAn Analog port insert is available to allow connection of modems, cordless phones, etc.

In addition, the switch platform does support standard rotary and tone-dial telephones.

The attendant workstation is designed as a pbx operators call processing position. It provides you with centralized call management for your facility, giving your operator assistance for both incoming and outgoing calls.

Up to 16 operators can be linked to a system. Even better, you can link attendants or operators across a Software Defined Network of several systems.

The online directory empowers your operators to quickly extend calls to the right extension. With a directory of up to 50,000 names and extensions, your operators can search just by typing in all or part of a name. Once the operator has identified the extension, the call can be transferred just by a simple key stroke on the DIAL key.

CTI technology links switch, computers, and the telephone to provide tailored communications solutions. The 20-20 IXPs CTI capabilities provide effective call handling, high reliability and broad flexibility in interfacing with networks and computers. For application development, You can use both proprietary and standard protocols for creating custom applications. Our host interface link (HIL) is a proprietary tool for linking the switch to an external host. Typical applications using HIL include checking bank balances, flight arrival times or order delivery status. But the flexibility is there for you to create most any application. The 20-20s CTI also works with some of the major standards for CTI - MicroSoft TAPI and Dialogic CT-Connect

The 20-20s Automatic Call Distribution or ACD software enables you to process large volumes of incoming calls efficiently and professionally. ACD software can be configured to provide you with a unique call distribution plan for your application. And our ACD offers comprehensive reporting statistics on your applications
