FIRST EUROPEAN FOOD CONGRESS

The congress mission:• to attract food and nutrition professionals from all European  countries and guests from outside Europe

• to convince European food professionals that they need and  deserve to have such a congress for a regular review of the  European state‐of‐art in food science, technology, engineering  and  nutrition

• to build a stronger and more coherent view on food issues

• to collect, exchange and disseminate knowledge and experience in this extensive field in Europe

FIRST EUROPEAN FOOD CONGRESS

• to make an appropriate linking to European producers and distributors on issues of food importance, particularly concerning safety, quality and novelty of solutions to satisfy consumers needs

• to make an appropriate linking to European policy makers regarding issues of food importance, particularly concerning health, environment, technology and consumers issues

• to make an appropriate linking to European educatorsregarding  relevant issues of food and nutrition

A five‐day programme interesting and exciting for all participants, will be: pan‐European

east, west, north and south (44 European countries) comprehensive  

covering all food disciplines (from farm to consumer)

Will be conducted via plenary lectures, symposia, sessions, workshops, round tables, exhibition, posters and informal meetings

• The Congress comprised more than 250 oral contributions in more than 200 contact hours of the Congress scientific programme. Invited distinguished experts gave18 plenary keynote lectures, which were accompanied by more than 200 oral presentations in more than 30 symposia together with workshops, round table sessions and more then 400 posters displayed during entire period of the Congress.
