At these 4 tests when the hose stretch team was reduced 20 percent, the hose stretch time was increased approximately 50 t o 75 percent. (Pump operator included in hose stretch team) These test facilities and criteria have been documented and recorded so they can be duplicated to verify the times obtained a t these 4 tests. Yne physiological effects o f hose stretching should be measured at future tests. Firefighters. used i n these tests of hose stretches were younger than the. average firefighter and in better physical condition than the average firefighter. Firefighters from companies should be used i n hose stretch tests. The times should be compared to times recorded by probationary firefighters hose stretch tests. Simultaneous hose stretches should be test.ed, recorded Visually and timed.
