Women in 1960’s

The cap and tabard are made of woollen jersey, with a ribbed wool jumper, the boots and motif are made from vinyl and the sun visor is smoked plastic.

Seamless tights to be worn with short clothes, as they were warmer and more convenient than stockings and suspenders.

Women worn shorter skirts.

Women had see through dresses in late 1960’s quite hippy like

This dress was made from mo-hair

Other clothes were made from cotton and rayon and acrylic crepe

Mary Quant made the mini dress popular

Men in the 1960s

At first lots of business wear smart suits. They were more stylish though and looked tighter.

Turtleneck made from cotton.

Later 1960’s fashion suits changed with a higher button up – made from polyester or cotton or both.

Mens and womens clothes got brighter.

The Beatles wear bright clothing for men.
