ORDER

As per paper read first above, the Revised Syllabus for Common Courses- BA English ProgrammeCUCBCSS with effect from 2017 Admissions and Modifications in the Open courses for 2015admissions was implemented .

Vide paper read second, the Chairperson, Board of Studies in English UG informed that, the Creditsand Contact hours of three courses have been wrongly typed on page 4 of the approved syllabus andthe error has been rectified and the corrected Syllabus forwarded for approval.

Vide paper read third, after having considered the request of the Chairman, Board of Studies inEnglish(UG), sanction has been accorded by the Vice Chancellor to issue necessary modifications in the UO read first above.

Hence the following Addendum is issued .

ADDENDUM

The Credits and Contact hours of three Courses which have been wrongly typed on Page 4 ofthe Approved Syllabus has been corrected and the Corrected Syllabus attached herewith.

Hence the syllabus attached alongwith the UO read as first above stands modified to thiseffect.

ORDER

Vide paper read first, the Modified CUCBCSS UG Regulations w.e.f 2014 admissions, for allUG programmes under CUCBCSS - Regular and SDE / Private Registration in the University ofCalicut, has been implemented.

Vide paper read second, the Board of Studies in English (UG) has finalised the Revised Syllabus forUG English Common Courses under CUCBCSS Regulations with effect from 2017 Admissionsand also the Syllabus of Open Courses has been reduced in accordance with the reduced credits andreduced hours as per the CUCBCSS UG New Regulations.

Vide paper read third, the Chairperson, Board of Studies in English(UG) requested to implementthe Revised Syllabus of BA English Common Courses under CUCBCSS wef 2017 Admissions urgently.

Vide paper read fourth, the Dean, Faculty of Language and Literature has approved theRevised Syllabus of BA English Common Courses under CUCBCSS and also suggested to implementthe same with effect from 2017 Admissions.

Vide paper read fifth, the Vice Chancellor, after having considered the exigency, in exercisingthe powers of the Academic Council, has approved item number 3 and item number 7 of the Minutesof the Meeting of the Board of Studies in English (UG) held on 20/02/2017 subject to ratification bythe Academic Council.

Sanction has therefore been accorded to implement the resolution of the Meeting of the Boardof Studies in English (UG) held on 20/02/2017 taken vide item number 3 and 7 to implement theSyllabus of BA English Common Courses under CUCBCSS which is revised with effect from 2017Admissions and also to implement the Syllabus of Open Courses for 2015 Admissions, which hasbeen reduced in accordance with the Reduced Credits and Reduced Hours as per the CUCBCSS UGNew Regulations.

Orders are issued accordingly.
