similar meanings. a word having the same meaning as

another word in the same language in one or more of its senses

Synonyms can be any part of speech (such as nouns, verbs, prepositions, adverb, adjective), as long as both words are the same part of speech.

NOUNS, VERBS, ADJECTIVES, ADVERBS OR PREPOSITIONS

Noun-a word used to name a person, place, things, state or quality.

Verb-any of a class of words expressing an action performed.
