Identify signs of a surgical emergency in a neonate. 3. Identify two potentially life threatening medical conditions of fussiness in a neonate. 4. Differentiate between a truly ill neonate and one who is well. Joseph P. Hopple, NREMT-P 1. Explain the actual hazards and myths of motor vehicle crashes involving hybrid vehicles. 2. Review potential injuries seen by patients involved in motor vehicle collisions involving hybrid vehicles. 3. State the advantages of using high fidelity simulation for teaching assessment, psychomotor skills and teamwork. 4. Discuss techniques to use high fidelity simulation to challenge learners and collect data on performance. Praveen Mital, MD 1. Describe the common mistakes when signing out a patient Against Medical Advice. 2. Discuss common misconceptions of patients with a DNR status. Review the effects of cocaine, opiates, methamphetamine and bath salts.
