    The Jets 8-2 record is the clubs best record after 10games since the team posted a 9-1 mark in 1986. That

    season, the Jets finished 10-6 and reached the AFC Di-visional Playoff Game.

    WR Santonio Holmes scored his second game-winningtouchdown in as many weeks when he caught a six-yardpass to give the Jets a 30-27 victory vs. HST (11/21).The previous week at CLV (11/14) he caught a 37-yardpass with 16 seconds remaining in overtime to give theclub a 26-20 win. Holmes also made key contributionsin wins at DET (11/7) and DEN (10/17). At Detroit, his52-yard reception set up the game-winning field goaland he drew a 46-yard pass interference to set up a two-yard run that gave the Jets a 24-20 victory in Denver.

    As a starter, QB Mark Sanchez owns a 16-9 recordduring the regular season. It is tied for the second bestrecord by a Jets QB in their first 25 games. In his lastfour games, Sanchez leads the NFL with 1,206 passingyards on 87 completions with six touchdowns and fiveinterceptions. SEE PAGE 33

    Quarterbacks (3), Returning Starter (1)Coach Matt Cavanaugh:Marked the 25th regular season start of his NFL ca-reer, QB Mark Sanchez completed 22-of-38 passes for315 yards and three touchdowns with one interceptionfor a 100.2 passer rating vs. HST (11/21). It was hissecond career 300-yard passing game. As a starter, San-chez owns a record of 16-9 during the regular seasonand an 18-10 mark, including the postseason. Over hislast three games, all Jets wins, Sanchez has thrown for950 yards on 71-of-121 passing with six touchdownsand three interceptions for an 89.9 rating. For the sea-son, Sanchez has registered an 82.8 passer rating, con-necting on 185-of-336 passes for 2,306 yards and 15touchdowns with seven interceptions. His first 300-yardpassing game came in Week Nine at DET (11/7), whenhe recorded 336 yards, one touchdown and one intercep-tion on 22-of-39 passing. Sanchez has thrown for moreyards (1,206) than any quarterback in the NFL. Edwards leads Jets in touchdowns(6) receiving yards (598) and yards per reception (18.1).Four of his six touchdowns receptions have occurred onplays of 30 yards. Cotchery, who has led the team in re-ceiving the previous three seasons, has recorded 29 re-ceptions for 315 yards. He missed the HST (11/21) gamedue to an injury. Smith has caught three pass for 21 yardsand has rushed for 161 yards on 24 carries. He threwthe first touchdown pass of his career at BUF (10/3), athree-yard toss to TE Dustin Keller.     RB LaDAINIAN TOMLINSON

    Thursdays game will mark the sixth meeting between Tom-linson and the Bengals. In the five previous matchups, Tom-linson has collected 479 yards rushing on 96 attempts (5.0avg.) with nine touchdowns rushing. He has added 221yards on 18 receptions against Cincinnati as well.

    He has more than 100 all-purpose yards in all five gamesagainst Cincinnati, with his best performance coming in hisrecord-setting 2006 season when he carried the ball 22times for 104 yards and four touchdowns and added 54more yards on six receptions.

    WR JERRICHO COTCHERYAfter not collecting any offensive statistics against the Ben-gals in 2004, his rookie season, Cotchery has posted 25receptions for 251 yards and a touchdown in the last fourmatchups against them. He has caught at least five passesin the last four games against Cincinnati.

    FB TONY RICHARDSONRichardson has paved the way for some impressive groundgames against the Bengals in his five matchups against

    WR SANTONIO HOLMESLike Edwards, Holmes had previously faced off against theBengals twice a season as division rivals when he playedwith PIT. In seven matchups against Cincinnati, Holmes hascaught 31 passes for 520 yards (16.8 avg.) and one touch-down. His best performance came in the second game ofhis rookie season when he caught four passes for 124 yards(31.0 avg.) and scored on a 67-yard touchdown pass.

    WR BRAYLON EDWARDSEdwards, a former division rival of the Bengals when heplayed for CLV from 2005-09, has faced off against Cincin-nati 10 times in his career. In those games, he has amassedtotals of 35 receptions for 436 yards and five touchdowns.He twice recorded multi-touchdown performances againstthe Bengals, both in his 2007 Pro Bowl season (9/16 and12/23). In the first matchup that season, he caught eightpasses for 146 yards, and had 8 receptions for 52 yards inthe second.

    QB MARK SANCHEZSanchez, who faced the Bengals twice in two weeks last sea-son, enters his third contest against Cincinnati after complet-ing 20-of-31 passes (64.5%) for 245 yards, one touchdown,no interceptions and a passer rating of 99.5. In his first play-off game, Sanchez completed 12-of-15 passes (career-high80%) for 182 yards with a touchdown and a 139.4 passerrating against the Bengals.

    TE DUSTIN KELLERAfter posting just one catch for nine yards in his first twogames against the Bengals, Keller caught three passes for99 yards in last seasons Wild Card Playoff game, includinga 45-yard touchdown pass from Sanchez, in which he tight-roped the sideline before scoring.

    RB SHONN GREENE

    Like Sanchez, Greene saw action his rookie season in con-secutive weeks against the Bengals, and also like Sanchez,he did not disappoint. After gaining 62 yards on 13 carries(4.8 avg.) in the regular-season finale against Cincinnati,Greene collected 135 yards on 21 attempts (6.4 avg.) and

    scored on a 39-yard touchdown run against the Bengals inthe Wild Card Playoff victory.

    WR BRAD SMITHSmith, a do-everything player for the Jets, made a signifi-cant contribution in the Jets/Bengals matchup in last sea-sons regular-season finale when he carried four times for 92yards and a touchdown out of the Jets Tiger formation.
