100 Places to Remember is an outdoor photographic exhibition of 100 local and global environments and species that are at severe risk due to climate change.

These visually powerful images highlight the beauty of our most cherished places especially in light of their susceptibility to the effects of climate change.

The travelling exhibition will feature the artwork, photographed by Getty Images ltd., and provide a forum for speaking engagements as well as corporate and community events that will encourage a positive call to action on climate change and conservation.

About

Borneo, Indonesia

100 Places to Remember: Before They Disappear originated in Denmark to mark the UN’s COP15 Conference, in Copenhagen, in 2009. The outdoor exhibition remained in a central square in Copenhagen and Arhus for a total of 6 months—captivating over 1 000 000 viewers and making the print version a global best seller.

This unique project is now coming to 10 cities in North America in 2012.

Original Exhibition

Chicago, IL

The Photographic exhibition will be placed in high foot traffic areas in the following 10 cities.

- Toronto - New York - San Francisco - Ottawa - Chicago

- Seattle - Vancouver - Austin - Montreal - Washington, DC

The exhibit will be staged in each City for a minimum of 14 days (maximum 21). During this period, the 100 Places to Remember team will host events to encourage interaction and discourse amongst the corporate community and the general public.

In each city our programme will include an opening ceremony, a speaking engagement open to the public, films and workshops focusing on locally-relevant action plans which will encourage and support a commitment to our environment. Other event opportunities can also be made available.

speaking engagement, in each city, in a venue that has a minimum capacity of 1000. (subject to availability)

• Affiliated events: Corporate workshops, community

programming, films and other affiliated satellite events are intended to host a minimum of 300 guests.

Expected Attendance

Masai Mara, Kenya

The success of past exhibitions has come from selecting outdoor venues that have a high natural foot-traffic. By doing the same in the large urban centers of the United States and Canada we project the following attendance numbers.

The 100 Places project was re-presented in a special edition of an American publication and also featured on their website. The first day generated 15 million viewers, the highest single-day traffic to date for their popular website.

We anticipate receiving over 400 million hits from both mainstream and non-traditional media sources over our 9 month campaign in addition to physical attendance at the exhibitions.

Through all of our media campaigns we aim to highlight the exhibition, locally-relevant climate change issues, our sponsors and the commitment that they have made to sustainability and climate change.
