If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving out in 2014, San Diego offers iconic venues and
unparalleled ocean views. Here are 10 perfect locations for Thanksgiving dinner.
1. Hotel Del Coronado
The iconic Hotel Del Coronado’s annual Thanksgiving dinner offers a lavish feast and musical
entertainment plus views of the Pacific Ocean. There are seatings every half hour from noon
to 6 p.m. in the oceanfront Ballroom and Crown Room. Cost is $110 for adults and $42 for
children.
2. The Grand Del Mar
The Amaya restaurant at The Grand Del Mar in Carmel Valley is serving Thanksgiving dinner
from 12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. The three-course menu is $85 for adults and $30 for children. The

3. The US Grant
If downtown San Diego is your Thanksgiving destination, the landmark US Grant is offering
its Grand Buffet from 12:15 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. The price is $87 for adults, $65 for seniors and
$35 for children and includes complimentary valet parking and live entertainment.
4. Hornblower Cruises
There’s no need to celebrate Thanksgiving
on land. Hornblower Cruisers is offering
two Thanksgiving buffet cruises, one
at 2:30 p.m. and the other at 3 p.m. Both
include a glass of champagne upon
boarding, a traditional Thanksgiving buffet
and DJ entertainment. Cost is $89.95 per
person.
5. Tom Ham’s Lighthouse
The view from Harbor Island is the centerpiece of the Thanksgiving buffet at Tom Ham’s
Lighthouse. Dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. The price is $44 for adults and $18
for children.
6. The Shores
The Shores on the beach in La Jolla is serving its Thanksgiving buffet from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The cost is $48 for adults, $24 children 6 to 12 , and $4 for children 5 and under.
7. Estancia La Jolla
If you’re celebrating the holiday with a UC San Diego student, consider the Thanksgiving
buffet at Estancia La Jolla adjacent to the campus. The buffet is served in the Adobe El
Restaurante from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. Price is $70 for adults, $35 for children.
8. Rancho Bernardo Inn
Children will love the Thanksgiving buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Aragon Ballroom of
the Rancho Bernardo Inn. The price of $68 for adults and $35 for children includes live
music, a petting zoo and pony rides.
9. La Costa Resort
For Thanksgiving dining in Carlsbad, the La Costa Resort is serving a buffet dinner from 11
a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Veranda Ballroom. Cost is $79 for adults, $29 for children.
10. Green Dragon Tavern & Museum
To celebrate Thanksgiving like the Pilgrims, consider the newly opened Green Dragon Tavern
& Museum in Carlsbad, which is serving a holiday buffet from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Price is $45
for adults and $15 for children.
