This presentation consists of highlights from the interview with Moe Abdou,
founder & host of 33voices®.
Simon Sinek is an optimist. He teaches leaders and organizations how to inspire people. From members of Congress to foreign ambas-sadors, from small businesses to corporations like Microsoft and 3M, from Hollywood to the Pentagon, he has presented his ideas about the power of why. He has written two books, Leaders Eat Last and Start With Why and is quoted frequently by national publications.

To a giver, success is never a zero-sum game, for unless her impact ignites greatness in
others, she didn’t aim high enough.

3. Don’t confuse your ‘Why’ with Passion, for the latter is the result, not the driver. Doing something that you believe in is called passion; doing something that you don’t believe in is called stress.
Insight #4
Highly successful leaders have three things in common: a desire to serve, a compelling vision,
and an appreciation for those they lead.
Insight #5
As a leader, make it your highest priority to get your environment right,
and watch your people follow.

If you’re a leader, consider this: In the military, they give medals to people
who are willing to sacrifice themselves so that others may gain.
Insight #8
If you’re a leader, consider this: In business we give bonuses to people who
are willing to sacrifice others so that we may gain. Where’s the disconnect?
Insight #9
People are greater than profits, always. Never sacrifice people for money.
Insight #10
“Don’t aim at success. The more you aim at it and make it a target, the more you are going
to miss it. For success, like happiness, cannot be pursued; it must ensue, and it only does so as the unintended side effect of one’s personal dedication to a cause greater than oneself or
as the by-product of one’s surrender to a person other than oneself.
Insight #10
Happiness must happen, and the same holds for success: you have to let it happen by not caring about it. I want you to listen to what your conscience commands you to do and go
on to carry it out to the best of your knowledge. Then you will live to see that in the long-run -in
the long-run, I say! - success will follow you precisely because you had forgotten
to think about it.” - Viktor Frankl on Success
Reflect: What if you knew that your passion wasn’t the best
