Misconduct \ verb 1: behave in an improper manner \ noun 2: deliberate violation of a law or standard of conduct

Misconduct can occur anytime, anywhere, and be against anyone• “Anywhere” includes team areas, stands,

and parking lots• “Anyone” includes an opponent, teammate,

referee, spectator, or any other person

• Does not require a foul to have been committed

• If DFK foul was committed - foul was Reckl ess or Excessive – Restart???

• Stoppage without a DFK foul - must restart with a IFK

• If play is not stopped - the card must be issued at the next stoppage or not at all

A player is cautioned and shown the yellow card

7 CAUTIONABLE OFFENSES

1. Unsporting behavior (UB)

2. Dissent by word or action (DT)

3. Persistently infringes the Laws of the Game (PI)

4. Delays the restart of play (DR)

5. Fails to yield 10 yards on corner/ free kick (FRD)

6. Enters or Re-enters the field without permission (E)

7. Deliberately leaves the field without permission (L)

if he/she commits any of the following seven offenses:

7 SEND-OFF OFFENSES

A player is sent-off and shown a red card if he or she commits one of the following 7 offences:

1. Serious Foul Play (SFP)

2. Violent Conduct (VC)

3. Spits at anyone (S)

4. Denies a goal or an obvious goal-scoring opportunity - by handling the ball (not the goalkeeper) (DGH)

5. Denies obvious goal-scoring opportunity - by any free-kick offense (DGF)

6. Uses offensive, insulting or abusive language/gestures (AL)

7. A second cautionable offense (2CT)
