JSC Workforce made up of over 3,200 civil servants & 13,000 contractors.

85% of JSC employees have a college degree and 30% have a graduate level degree.

NASA invests approximately $250 million dollars in education programs and grants to motivate students to pursue math and science careers, benefiting NASA, the aerospace industry, andthe American public.

NASA spent approximately $45M in research grants and other work at Texas universities and colleges in FY08.

Fly the Space Shuttle safely until retirement by 2010.

Complete the International Space Station in a manner consistent with our international partner commitments and the needs of human exploration.

Bring a new Crew Exploration Vehicle into service as soon as possible to replace the Shuttle Program.

Provide infrastructure and support services to three major programs in different phases of development.

JSC manages the development, testing, production and delivery of all U.S. human spacecraft, and all human spacecraft-related functions.
