The Morality of Human Acts
• MORALITY is the quality of human act which makes us call some of them good and some of them evil (“Ethics” by Msgr. Glenn).
• QUALITY means character or nature belonging to or distinguishing a thing.
• HUMAN ACT is that which proceeds from deliberate “free will” (freedom) of man.
Page 11
Difference between Human Act and Act of Man
• HUMAN ACT• any sort of activity
internal (mind) or external (hands) performed by a human being with freedom
Page 12
Difference between Human Act and Act of Man
• ACT OF MAN• it is man’s act of sensation
(use of senses), and appetition or use of bodily tendencies (such as sweating…) without the use of freedom.
