G200 YOUTH FORUM 2016, 6-10 April 2016, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Bavaria, Germany (120 km from Munich airport)

The 11th G200 Youth Forum will be one of the largest international events organized for young leaders from around 200 countries in 2016, and over 500 young leaders, students and academics, representatives of the business world and governments will be participating in it.

The G200 Youth Forum 2016 has 4 main events which will run in tandem with each other:

G200 Youth Summit – Communiqué; Conference – Publication of academic articles in the Conference Proceedings; International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate – Joint Statement; andJoint Sessions – Results.

Over 500 attendees in total:

39% conference participants: undergraduates (aged between 18 and 35), teachers, academics and university officers (aged between 30 and 70) from 100 best Universities in the world. All participants come from around 200 countries.

17% young parliamentarians and members of state parliaments (aged between 30 and 45).

24% Summit participants, undergraduates and young experts in international relations (aged between 18 and 30).

16% observers from around 200 countries (aged between 18 and 70).

4% partners who are representatives of business and governments from around 200 countries.

The unique concept of the event was created in 2005 by Ksenia Khoruzhnikova, Founder and President of the G200 Association. The concept was realized as the G8 Youth Summit in 2006 in St. Petersburg and continued in subsequent years transformed in G20 Youth Summit first, in G20 Youth Forum second and in G200 Youth Forum later:

In total: more than 4500 attendants in 10 years from around 200 countries.

What is the G200 Youth Summit?

It is an international non-governmental project. Annually, we select around 150-200 best students and young experts in the field of international relations, economics, finance and law who are eligible to become young head of state or ministers in the national youth delegations to the G200 Youth Summit.The result of a 3-day G200 Youth Summit will be the final Communiqué (recommendations) discussed and approved by the participants which will reflect the view of young leaders on key issues in social and economic fields that have paramount importance for the young generation.The Communiqué will be disseminated throughout the world and shared, in particular, with the Heads of 193 States and 70 leading international organizations such as UN, IMF, World Bank, OECD, European Commission, African Union, Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation, Association of South-East Asian Nations, Arab League, Union of South American Nations, and others.

What is the Purpose of the G200 Youth Summit?

To involve young leaders from all over the world in resolving the most pressing economic and social problems of the moment;

To establish an intercultural dialogue; To build business partnerships and friendships.

Delegation list:

All applicants to the G200 Youth Summit should select 2 Committees (priority 1 and priority 2) and 3 positions within each committee (Head’s of State, Sherpa’s, Journalist or Ministerial position). G200 Association will appoint each candidate to the selected Committees and to the selected Positions after the receipt of the participation fee.The delegates participate only in one Сommittee and in one set position (and act according to one position he or she was appointed by the G200 Association). No more than 2 delegates from one сountry can participante in the same Committee.

How to participate in the G200 Youth Summit:

1. Candidates should fill the online application form (http://www.g200youthforum.org/participate) and sign an agreement for participation.

2. The following application documents must be sent by e-mail to [email protected]:

Recommendation letter, signed by the representative of the University, the employer or internship supervisor, describing why the candidate deserves to hold the selected position and his/her experience in this field (1 page)

Motivation letter (about 250 words) Curriculum Vitae Recent photograph

The applicant to the G200 Youth Summit should select 2 Committees (priority 1 and priority 2) and 3 positions within each committee (Head’s of State, Sherpa’s, Journalist or Ministerial position). The G200 Association will appoint each candidate to one of selected Committees and one of selected Positions after the receipt of the participation fee.

3. Applicants will be notified by e-mail within 1-2 days from the receipt of their complete application file at [email protected].

The G200 Association will be appointing candidates to selected Committees and positions after the participation fee is received. The G200 Association will inform them which position the candidate will get and which Committee he will join at the G200 Youth Summit within 1-2 weeks after the deadline.

Participants should pay the participation fee within 5 days after the delegate is accepted and send the payment confirmation to [email protected].

4. Once your participation is confirmed, you have to write the position paper in English (2-3 pages) on the topic of selected Committee and send it by e-mail to [email protected]. The topic will be provided by the G200 Association. 18

CONFERENCE

It is an international Conference for representatives from about 100 best Universities in the world who are experts in international relations, economics, finance and law. During the Conference around 300 participants will discuss global problems which are on the agenda of the academic communities of different countries in the format of 8 round tables working in parallel.

What is the Purpose of the Conference?

To establish an intercultural dialogue; To build business partnerships and friendships; To publish the Conference Proceedings with academic articles based on our participants’ presentations.* The Conference Proceedings has ISSN status (2297-0134) and is included in leading national and international academic databases.

INTERNATIONAL YOUNG PARLIAMENTARIANS’ DEBATE

What is the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate? It is a meeting of members of state parliaments and youth parliaments from different countries, who are under 45 years of age, with the purpose of exchanging ideas and experience in all the aspects of creating and implementing legislation. At the conclusion of the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate a joint statement and declaration of cooperation between all the young parliamentarians from around 200 countries will be issued.

What is the Purpose of the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate?

To encourage and develop cooperation between young parliamentarians with the view to exchanging ideas and experience in all the aspects of creating legislation;

To define issues of specific relevance to young parliamentarians and how these issues relate to the broader interests of different countries;

To mutually benefit from each others experiences in the life of a parliamentarian; To create a platform for interaction between young parliamentarians and to facilitate easier cooperation on a day to day

basis over a wide range of issues. In the future this platform will develop as a mechanism whose purpose will be to foster and examine new ideas and initiatives, which then will go forward to international legislative bodies and NGOs.

What is the Format of the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate?

The general group will divide into 5 debating committees:

1. Committee on women’s rights, family, child support, and welfare; 2. Committee on sport and youth policy, culture, education and media;3. Committee on legal framework/ international law;4. Committee on business and entrepreneurship, innovations and energy;5. Committee on local development, sustainability, transport and tourism.

Who can participate in the International Young Parliamentarians’ Debate?

Any member of a federal, regional or city Parliament; Any member of a federal, regional or city Youth Parliament; Aged between 18 and 45; Good communications skills in English.

What is the Purpose of the Joint Sessions? To reunite the participants of three main platforms of the G200 Youth Forum for further professional development and

realization of joint projects; To continue the integration of the participants of different levels into the common global community with the aim of helping

to solve the current world issues.

What is the Format of the Joint Sessions?

Organized acquaintanceship session; Short introductory presentations regarding the given topic of the session followed by brief question session; Three round tables. Participants will be invited to choose a table where they can share their particular professional and

academic experiences.

What is the Observers’ Program?

It is the opportunity to take part in the G200 Youth Forum 2016 as an Observer. The Observer status doesn’t require any elaborate preparation but allows to attend 2 platforms of the event (The Conference and Joint Sessions) and all evening events and to benefit from the atmosphere and discussions.

What is the status of the Observer?

There is no specific entry requirements for Observers. The observers can t participate in the negotiations, final documents drafting. The observers can’t make a speech, presentation or officially represent their organization, university or country. Observers may attend only The Conference, listen to reports and ask questions; may participate in Joint Sessions. Every observer receives a certificate which proves his participation in the G200 Youth Forum as an Observer.

What is the Format of the Observers’ Program?

Observer selects Round Tables of the Conference and one of the Joint Sessions he or she would like to attend and have individual schedule.

Who can participate in the Observers’ Program?

If you didn’t achieve entry to the national delegation of the G200 Youth Summit you can still become an Observer; Anyone aged 14 or over; If you don’t meet the requirements necessary to become a participant of 4 events you can still become an Observer; Relatives and friends of the G200 Youth Forum participants.

Deadlines

1st turn. The deadline for registration through the web site and conclusion of an Agreement with the Organizing Committee is September 30th 2015. A full package of documents must be submitted by October 15th , 2015. The payment deadline is 30th October 2015. The participants will receive a discount in the amount of 100 EUROs in case the payment is done by October 30th, 2015.

2nd turn. The deadline for registration through the web site and conclusion of an Agreement is November 30th,2015. A full package of documents must be submitted by December 15th, 2015. The payment deadline is December 30th, 2015.

3rd turn. The deadline for registration through the web site and conclusion of an Agreement is February 15th , 2016. A full package of documents must be submitted by February 28th, 2016. The payment deadline is February 28th, 2016. * Please note that the places at the Youth Forum 2016 may be fully booked by the beginning of January, therefore the Organizing Committee invites you to plan your participation in advance and send your applications at your earliest convenience. ** Please also note that if you need a visa to Germany and require support from the Organizing Committee, you need to complete registration process and pay the participation fee by the end of December 2015. It might take up to 4 weeks to receive original documents by mail from the Organizing Committee and up to 4 weeks to obtain a visa at the Embassy/Consulate.  

The Organizing Committee will not accept any Applications after 28 February 2016.
