With the first two matches of this year in the books, we look ahead to this weekend’s doubleheader against Northcote and Essendon.

Vale Mr Vin CondonFootscray Edgewater Cricket Club mourns the passing of our esteemed Life Member Mr Vin Condon. Vin’s commitment to the Footscray Cricket Club spanned over 35 years including Team Manager of the 1979/1980 Premiership Team and over more recent times as Groundsman. Vin was an extremely popular and loved member of the Club who always had a kind word and a laugh for everyone. He will be sadly missed.

Deepest sympathies to Lyn, Paul, Grant and Families.

1000 th Match

Saturday 4th October saw the club play its 1000th Match and Unfurl it’s 2013/14 Premiership Flag against Casey-South Melbourne. The day was an absolute success with many past players gathering for the flag unfurling followed by an afternoon tea and a club dinner after the match. The day was topped off with a hard fought win to the 1st XI, getting up against a gallant Casey Sth-Melbourne side by 3 wickets.
