Greetings & Blessings from Higher Self...

Welcome September! Its that time of year where we adjust our schedules, create new routines and adapt to changes. We notice that our days are getting shorter and in the far north we see our leaves begin to fade by the end of the month . We welcome two guests this month, Hachumak with his Peruvian healing sessions and Brian Turpin doing his intuitive readings. Weve also launched our first ever Womens Retreat that will be held just south of Cadillac. September also means its time for the Denver Gem Show and we will be there filling our shelves with new stones and crystals. Check out our new crystal class that we will hold when we get back Quartz, Power Crystals and Grids. We are also excited to welcome our newest addition to the family, Andi Flegel. Youll see her smiling face and helpful presence when you come in. Check out the newsletter and see all that is happening this month.

Change and Transitions

Planets in retrograde, lunar eclipses and instability in the world! There is a lot of change and transition happening to all of us and it can be scary and overwhelming. I recently heard a talk by a Shamanic Healer, Mona Delfino, and she had this wonderful quote: Change the fear of the unknown into curiosity. As you reflect upon this you may begin to see the true power in what she is suggesting. With all the change and transitions, what we could once count upon seems to be unstable and there is a lot of unknown. If we can successfully face the unknown with curiosity it can give us a completely different perspective on our lives and our situations. So how we do we do this? Start with yourbreath. Breath is the connection to Spirit, breath brings us closer to who we really are. Three deep breaths, breathing in with your diaphragm (not chest) for a count of three or four and breathing out for a count of three or four, will allow you to move past that fear and transmute it into curiosity. When we breathe like this we connect to spirit, and it calms our nervous system.When our nervous system is calm our bodies dont have to react, and they can be in a place of observation so that we have a chance to respond in a purposeful and conscious way. This is how we can dream a new dream, create a new reality, and embrace curiosity for the unknown. Be Fearless - Breathe and Connect!

The Gift of This Day

Of course, the Mourning Doves do not mourn and to die is but an awakening; and our awareness of this day slips away more quickly than the clock can tick. But just now as Mother Earth gets dressed for fall and the dirt prepares to rest, we keep going to funerals.

And while a funeral is only a ceremony marking another passage through eternity, that time of mourning here on earth leaves an empty spot in our hearts.

One of my friends goes to the tip of the peninsula and spreads her arms wide and uses the poetry of her images to make something lasting and beautiful on this earth, and still she mourns a funeral long past.

And I laugh every time I point to a pot of lilies from my Dads funeral years ago; which still thrive long past their time and I still see his hands, resting on the side of a car, with his tools laid out in a straight line on an old washcloth to preserve the paint.

And there still are no words; only a straight line of love to the empty spot in the heart of my dear friend, who laid down her child to rest for the last time on this good earth a short year ago.

We all know these people and sometimes we wonder, just how can wedeserve to see the beautiful sun and hear the waves and laugh in the face of the wind. We dont.

But if we face each day with love before it slips away, then we will makethis day a good day. We have been given the gift of this day; keep filling your heart with love.
