N e e d . In the state of Israel, Jewish and Arab citizens live together, in a complex reality. We constantly witness trends in progress and new initiatives, alongside discrimination, social gaps, alienation and hostility, with the latter endangering the character, stability and even the existence of the state of Israel. The variety of issues, number of fields and actors, the amount of information that has grown exponentially in the past few years, and particularly the float of current events, stand directly in the way of clear understanding of context and abilities to act on the major issues and challenges.

S o l u ti o n s . The whole is greater than the sum: New technologies and services are emerging to help integrate and extract values from relevant information sources. Although there are no magic solutions, OnePlace enables a more effectively use of what already exists and offers valuable tools for action. Sometimes, there is no need to re-invent the wheel, rather put a few existing wheels in one vehicle..

• OnePlace, an information aggregator and knowledge mediation mechanism, started on may 2011 and is self-funded

• Doubi Schwartz, the organization’s founder and editor, has been involved with policy planning and projects regarding the Arab citizens of Israel for more then a decade

• OnePlace has 40 different categories with hundreds pieces of information linked to primary sources, daily updated. OnePlace has an active Facebook Page

• OnePlace gets dozens of daily “unique users”, of the main actors in the field (see March-April 2013):

b) Partnerships with Academia, Jewish & Arab NGO’s, Public Sector and High-Tech experts

c) Adding Arabic sections

d) Exposure, in addition to Facebook and LinkedIn
