HISTORY OF A HOLIDAY

When the baby was born the bright star had lighted up in the sky.

Wise men wanted to look at baby Jesus and had brought gifts to him. Since then all people give gifts to each other on Christmas.

Before the holiday people do careful cleaning in their houses.

There is a green wreath, many colourful bulbs and garlands on a door of each house

In each house there is a decorated fur-tree.

Traditional Christmas dishes in England are the baked turkey with a potato, a sweet pie with a stuffing, the traditional Christmas pudding and a Christmas fruit pie.
